Interactive workshops in school with young people – DSA Workshops

The workshops combined a guided visit to two Holocaust-related exhibitions with interactive work using the digital tools Inside Kristallnacht and the Abba Naor testimony module.

Students first explored the exhibitions “Greek Biographies between Occupation and Holocaust” and “The Deportation of the Jews of Ioannina”, engaging with historical photographs, biographical materials and curated narratives related to Holocaust history in Greece. This was followed by a moderated discussion of first impressions, questions and emotional responses.

In the second part, participants explored the digital testimony-based tools, which added immersive and dialogic forms of engagement with survivor memory. The workshop ended with a collective reflection on Holocaust remembrance, antisemitism, discrimination, exclusion and democratic responsibility.

Key result: students connected exhibition-based learning with digital survivor testimony and reflected on the contemporary relevance of Holocaust remembrance.
