Presentation and discussion with experts during the national Conference on Security Studies and Political Science in Łódź
In May 2026, during the National Conference on Security Studies and Political Science held at the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, the REM Heritage project was presented by Dr Artur Niedźwiecki, who introduced its main objectives and current results.
The presentation was followed by a lively expert debate, during which the importance of Holocaust remembrance in shaping civic attitudes, strengthening resilience to hate speech and disinformation, and promoting intergenerational dialogue was emphasised. The discussion focused on contemporary challenges to democratic values, the role of historical education, and the responsibilities of academic and civil society institutions in combating discrimination and intolerance.
The event served as an important platform for the exchange of views between researchers, educators and practitioners committed to fostering remembrance, responsibility and respect in contemporary society.
